Once Sport Update: Animated Area, Ice Hockey Support and Improved Coaching Tools

The Area element has received a major upgrade.

Previously a static overlay, it now fully animates alongside your other telestration elements, adding a new level of clarity to your video analysis. Coaches can highlight pressing zones, defensive structures, or key spaces, and watch them come alive during playback.

This makes it easier for players to understand tactical concepts through dynamic visual storytelling.

Starting your video analysis workflow is now faster than ever.

Once Sport now automatically handles the setup and updates of video link services in the background. Simply paste a video link and begin analysing instantly. No manual installation anymore!

Once Sport is expanding into new sports.

This update introduces full support for ice hockey rink mapping, including both NHL and International layouts. Coaches can now apply the same powerful video analysis and telestration tools used in football to ice hockey. Mapping the rink, measuring distances, and analysing plays with precision.

A new drawing tool built specifically for tactical analysis.

After mapping your field, you can now place a line vertically to the sidelines which can be used to show the offside line, line of scrimmage or similar lines. This feature improves both coaching analysis and referee breakdowns by making positioning instantly visible.

One of the biggest improvements in this release.

When you map the field in drawing mode and open the Once Sport Coach Board, players are now automatically placed in their correct positions on the board.

This allows coaches to capture real match situations and instantly transfer them into tactical views. Saving them time when preparing sessions and presentations.

It links video analysis and tactical planning like never before.

There are two new powerful additions to our tactical board. Polyline Drawing, allowing you to create custom movement paths and illustrate complex tactical patterns with full flexibility.

The second one is the introduction of the Layers System. With them you can easily organise your telestrations with complete control over visibility and stacking. No more deleting drawings to reach the ones that are underneath them.

We're continuing to modernise the Once Sport interface.

This update introduces a cleaner look across the drawing screen and popup windows, with improved spacing, better structure, and a more consistent design system. The result is a smoother experience that keeps your focus on analysis and coaching.

This update also delivers important performance upgrades. With improved auto-mapping algorithms, football field detection is now faster and more accurate, even with difficult camera angles. We have optimised export stability resulting in more reliable exports across formats with fewer issues. With new sharing options you can share your analysis directly via Email and WhatsApp. And finally, improved video processing leading to better performance and consistency across all video sources.

This update is designed to help coaches analyse the game more efficiently and communicate it more clearly through powerful video analysis and telestration tools.
