Change of Possession:
- When a team loses possession, they immediately switch to a defensive role, protecting their assigned small goals.
Touch and Passing Restrictions:
- To encourage quick play, players may be limited to two or three touches depending on the skill level of the group
Duration and Intensity:
- Duration: 4-6 rounds of 8-10 minutes each, with 2-3 minutes of rest between rounds.
- Intensity: Medium to high, with continuous movement and transitions between attack and defense.
Coaching Points:

Add Scoring Rules:
- Require a specific number of passes before a goal attempt can be made.
Introduce Time Limits:
- Add a time restriction for teams to score after gaining possession.
Vary Team Sizes:
- Play 9v9 or 11v11 based on the number of players available.
Common Mistakes to Avoid:
Attackers:
- Overcrowding the ball and neglecting positional discipline.
- Forcing risky passes that lead to turnovers.
Defenders:
- Losing focus on protecting the small goals.
- Pressing as individuals rather than as a coordinated unit.

Progression Tips:
- Gradually reduce the size of the playing area to increase pressure on players.
- Allow one defender to step into another team’s defensive zone to add complexity.
- Introduce a scoring bonus for successful switches of play before a goal is scored.
How It Translates to Match Situations:
This drill replicates match-like conditions where teams need to maintain possession, transition quickly, and create scoring opportunities while adhering to positional roles. It fosters understanding of team structure and strategic play.
