Plymouth Argyle and Once Sport: A Partnership Boosting Performance and Analysis

Although football fans mostly focus on first-division teams, second-division leagues are also extremely followed. One of them is the EFL Championship.
The league’s teams invest heavily in many aspects of the sport, such as analysing their or their opponents’ games. We are proud that our partners from Plymouth Argyle F. C. are using our products to improve their performance in both games and training.
Transforming Analysis at Plymouth Argyle Academy with Once Sport
As you may have read in our previous blog, Plymouth Argyle and Once Sport became partners in 2024. One of the people using our products is Josh Clarke , Head of Academy Performance Analysis, currently also assisting with the first team. He is using the Once Sport Telestratorand here is what he said about the use of the tool:
“With the help of the Once Sport Telestrator, our Academy staff can display information to the players. This is especially useful when conducting opposition analysis with our Under-18s players. It allows the young players to see the tactics clearly and visualise patterns of play more effectively. This all assists with analysis sessions becoming more concise and effective.”
Clarke also highlighted the importance of analysis and even gave examples of how they used Once Sport Telestrator for its features
“We recently used the Once Sport Telestrator to assist with our recent FA Youth Cup fixtures and Youth Alliance league games. Once Sport Telestrator was a vital component in our preparation for these fixtures. It allowed us to add greater detail and information onto opposition clips during our pre-match analysis session, giving players a clearer picture of what we would face during the game. It was also vital in helping us review previous fixtures and identify what areas players could improve on both individually and as a team.“
Once Sport and Argyle TV
Still, another part of Plymouth Argyle uses Once Sport, and that is their club television, Argyle TV. After looking for ways of enhancing the match analysis on their channel, they wanted to start using sports analysis software, and they chose the Once Sport Analyser.
As a part of an appreciation for our software, they decided to film a short video explaining how using Once Sport Analyser benefited their channel. Listen to Charlie Price and Aaron Cusack, from the club TV.
They talked about how Once Sport helped them create engaging and dynamic visuals for their audience and give their audience the best while enjoying and having fun working in the program. One feature they highlighted as their favorite is tracking , which they are constantly using.
The two even said how their viewers have reached out and expressed their satisfaction with Once Sport Analyser. They said that the viewers have enjoyed the interactive aspect of the videos, and how it allows the viewers to remain focused through the entirety of the video.
Finally, they expressed their hopes to continue using the software in the future for a long time.
