Last year was marked by many memorable moments: Once Sport Analyser has received the biggest updates until now, whereas Once Sport Coach Board and Once Sport Autocam have developed and become independent products. So let’s take a moment to reflect on the achievements and significant milestones Once Sport reached in 2024.
Major Milestones and Updates
In May, we moved to a new web address at www.once.sport, and could not be happier. Why? Because our new domain, .sport, aligns perfectly with our mission – to empower coaches and athletes. This move supports our goal of being at the forefront of sports technology.
Enhancements and New Features
Once Sport Analyser and Once Sport Telestrator received over 20 new upgrades last year. Some were enhancements of previous features, but many new features have also been added.
We upgraded the “Highlight a Player” feature, which now includes an animated circle with dynamic effects. Animated arrows and lines received starting animations, subtle shadows, and a glowing effect. Furthermore, we added a new animated vision element. Live analysis got an upgrade which allows reviewing and rewinding of footage.
The new animated spotlight feature that brings TV-like effects to your presentations was also introduced in the past year. We upgraded the tagging system, it now allows you to rename each of the four tagging columns, link players, zones, points of interest, and key performance indicators.
One of the biggest improvements we have made in 2024 was the introduction of Automatic Player Detection. With this feature, the software identifies all the players on the field. All supported drawing and tracking tools will automatically resize to fit the players, making drawing and tracking faster and more intuitive.
We also introduced the ability to import pictures as static and overlay elements. Once imported, you can resize and move the pictures around the screen. Automatic Player Detection also fully supports “Players Formation” and “Players Formation Area” elements. This gives you more flexibility and control over how formations are set up and displayed.
We added cloud support, so you can work seamlessly with online videos and streams from platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, VEO, and more.
Dynamic or Static Elements On-the-Go allow you to instantly decide whether your drawing elements are dynamic or static while creating them. The editing process is streamlined with faster editing making it quicker and simpler to modify.
Finally, we increased the efficiency of exporting which can now be done in the background without waiting. This means you can now add multiple exports to a queue and manage them while working at the same time.
Once Sport Coach Board
Previously a part of Once Sport Analyser under Tactics and Trainings, Coach Board became an independent product this year. It’s still available as an add-on to Once Sport Analyser and Once Sport Telestrator, but it can be used as a standalone software now.
We added new player designs, equipment rotation options, a presentation window, more field choices, and various other improvements.
However, the two biggest updates for the Coach Board last year were the addition of animations and the integration into the Drawing mode. Strategy animating makes it easier for coaches to visualise and communicate their game plans effectively.
Your projects can now also be exported as videos or PDF files, so you can share your work with colleagues much easier.
Integration into Drawing Mode helps you animate scenarios from the field in just one click. This feature makes it easier than ever to bring tactics and strategies to life during discussions with your team.
Once Sport Autocam
Last year we also enhanced our automated recording solution by upgrading the algorithm, ensuring higher accuracy of processed videos. We introduced field marking to eliminate ball-tracking errors. For optimal viewing experience, we added smart zoom. Finally, you can merge multiple input videos into one output video with automated video merge.
As the year was coming to an end Autocam received another batch of upgrades. It can now be connected directly to a camera’s stream, live-streamed to supported platforms, and allows a new camera view to correct any distortion in the original video. Strategic Partnerships and Events:
Expanding our network:
International Basketball Clinic (February): a two-day clinic organised by Lega Basket Serie A as a part of the Final Eight weekend of the Italian league. It featured many speakers from the basketball world, like Sergio Scariolo, Terry Stotts, and George Dikeoulakos. The clinic allowed us to introduce Once Sport Analyser to the attendees.
After the Basketball Clinic, we visited Paolo Beruatta at Juventus Academy to discuss our software. Then we headed south to visit Genoa to visit Lorenzo Folle, assistant coach and video analyst for Sampdoria U18 team. Lorenzo took us to a match between Sampdoria and Lecce and we also concluded a brief interview with him. We continued our Italian adventure in the picturesque town of Lucca, where we met Massimo Lucchesi, and over a dinner discussed plans for expanding our collaboration to webinars on Allenatore.net. We ended our journey in Treviso, where we were hosted by the Villorba Rugby Club and Roberto Foglia. There we held a presentation about Once Sport Analyser for all the coaches and analysts from the surrounding areas.
In March we visited the Croatian Football Federation and held a presentation about Once Sport Analyser. We demonstrated our solutions to UEFA Pro candidates. There were many familiar faces in the crowd, such as ex Croatian national team players Vedran Ćorluka, Niko Kranjčar, Danijel Pranjić, and Nikica Jelavić.
2024 Football Coaches Forum (April): the biggest meet-up for football coaches in Portugal organised by Associação Nacional dos Treinadores de Futebol – National Association of Football Coaches. Luis Castro, Abel Ferreira, and Jorge Braz were just some of the speakers at the Forum. In between all the talks, we got to show off our products, Once Sport Analyser, and Once Sport Autocam. We gave a deep overview of how our tech can change training routines and make performance analysis even better.
The second part of the Portugal trip was dedicated to visits to some universities, clubs, and partners. We started at a hub for aspiring sports professionals Escola Superior de Desporto de Rio Maior. There we connected with dozens of students, guided by professors André Freixieiro and Eduardo Teixeira, who were interested in learning more about Once Sport Analyser. We then journeyed to Estoril. Here, we met with Rodrigo Ferreira, the youth coordinator. The final part of the trip took us to our partner of three years, Pedro Henriques, a renowned futsal coach, who was even nominated for the best female futsal coach, two times. Oh yeah, between all the traveling we even managed to catch a game in Porto at the legendary Estádio do Dragão.
The Coach Experience 2024 (June): a premier professional development conference organized by the Italian Football Coaches Association. Various football professionals meet there to network, share knowledge, and explore the latest trends and methodologies. It was a place where many distinguished figures from football appeared. Daniele De Rossi, Simone Inzaghi, Simone Baggio, Alberto Bollini, Fabio Pecchia, and Paolo Tramezzani just to name a few. We also had a big role at the conference as we had the honor of presenting our software on the main stage.
But that’s not everything. Last year we concluded some of the most significant partnership agreements until now. We were particularly active in France as we became partners with Paris FC, a club currently playing in Ligue 2, but with aspirations to be a part of Ligue 1 next year. Then US Boulogne, US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole, and US Orléans, teams competing in the third division of the French football league system. And finally, we concluded a deal with one of the biggest French football clubs, FC Girondins de Bordeaux. Even though they are currently in the fourth division of the French football league system we believe that, with the help of our products, they will be back in Ligue 1 in no time.
We also made partnerships with clubs from the UK and Italy. We are thrilled to have an opportunity to work with Plymouth Argyle F.C., currently competing in the Championship. And the old club of one of the biggest Italian players in history, Francesco Totti – Lodigiani Calcio 1972.

In April we had an amazing opportunity to visit one of the best football academies in the world, which created some of the best players in the world, such as Luka Modrić, Mateo Kovačić, Joško Gvardiol, Dani Olmo…, GNK Dinamo Zagreb Academy. Also, last year we concluded one of the biggest partnerships until now, with one of Portugal’s most famous football clubs, Estoril Praia. Through the agreement, all of their youth teams now have access to Once Sport Analyser.
